Kaldewei recently announced they have started to work with bluemint® Steel to create the world’s first steel-enamel products made from CO2-reduced steel from thyssenkrupp Steel.
CEO Franz Kaldewei personally ordered their first delivery of bluemint® Steel from thyssenkrupp in Duisburg. bluemint® Steel is the balance-oriented CO2-reduced steel from thyssenkrupp Steel and reduces emissions by 70 percent.
Franz Kaldewei underlined the importance of this groundbreaking process by stating “bluemint® Steel gives us and our partners the certainty that we are using the highest quality steel, with an extremely low CO2 intensity.”
Kaldewei has always been a pioneer in the industry when it comes to sustainability; now they are the first global manufacturer to process the certified bluemint® Steel from thyssenkrupp. CO2-reduced steel is particularly important, in Kaldewei’s journey to achieve their own climate targets; matching those laid down in the Science Based Targets and aligned with the Paris Climate Protection Agreement.
