Duravit introduce additions to the Happy D 2 Plus Collection

Inspiring Bathroom Furniture

As more time is currently being spent inside, we can get creative and allow our imagination to wander.    Create visions of tweaks and changes we want to make to our homes. To plan projects both big and small.

Earlier this year Duravit were due to unveil the stunning new additions to their Happy D.2 Plus series. Lockdown halted this but the products will now available in the UK from July.

High design standards in bathroom design

Designed and created exclusively for Duravit by sieger design there are two new versions for the washing area, which both include totally new patent pending c-shaped technology.   This ensures that the ceramic washbasin and furniture are perfectly parallel, with no overhang or recess at all.

Take a seat

The floor-standing, metal consoles are height-adjustable, with an integrated towel rail and there is the option to add a shelf or built-in drawer.    A seat with an integrated drawer, can be added either to the left or right of the console. There is a stylish cushion on the seat in matching greige, made from a woven fabric specifically suitable for wet rooms.

AQATA – Curve Appeal

Curved Shower Screen

AQATA have launched the DS506 a curved shower screen. This uniquely-designed quintet is a walk-in like no other. The curvaceous screen is created from a seamless span of 8mm glass, and is the perfect way to introduce the essence of a boutique hotel into a bijoux bathroom.   The continuous single flowing curve can be used with a shower tray or is equally suitable for wet rooms.

Glamorous Finishing Touches

Sleek and smooth, the curved shower screen is available in clear or grey glass. Additional touches of glamour can be added by using one of AQATA’s alternative finishes. These include chrome, gold, polished nickel, brushed nickel and matte black.  Matte black is particularly striking against the smoky luminosity of the tinted grey glass.

Duravit – keeping warm in the bathroom this winter

Winter trends in the bathroom

A great thing about the cold season is that you can luxuriate in a bath, such as the Cape Cod bath from Duravit; immerse yourself in a warm bath to unwind relax and loosen tight, cold muscles. Designer Philippe Starck intuitively placed well–being at the heart of his creation.

Hygge in the bathroom

The icing on the cake of any dull, grey, winter day is to create some “hygge” – the Danish art of homeliness into the bathroom. Ideal companions for the baths are furniture and accessories that exude a sense of nature and warmth through their colour and shape. These include untreated woods and authentic decorations in subdued tones.

Light in the bathroom

Alongside natural candlelight, dimmable mirrors and mirror cabinets are ideal as lightening in the bathroom that can be adapted to any requirement. They create a lightening accent in the room and bathe the washing area in a pleasant light. The latest innovation in the field of mirror lighting is the seamless adjustment of the light colour.
